Easter Story

After listening to Sonora's wish list for the Easter Bunny, I asked her, "Do you know the real reason for Easter?" Of course she looked at me quizzically, so I told her, "Easter is when Jesus died on the cross so we can go with him to Heaven when we die."

She considered that for a moment, and then said, "Jesus grew up really fast, didn't he?"

How Meta

Instead of saying "Excuse me," when he burps, Xavier now says, "Say, 'Excuse me.'" Which then confuses him, he doesn't know whether it is acceptable for me to reply, "You're excused," or, "Excuse me." We end up doing a sort of Who's On First routine. Every. Single. Time.

One More Zoo Story

Oh yeah, I forgot until Sonora reminded me tonight- about the Meet the Giant Porcupine Up Close and Personal exhibit at the zoo. However, when we got there the handlers were attempting to shove a very reluctant and cranky looking porcupine back into a large-dog-sized kennel. So we took a pass on that one.

Princess Trivia

I learned a previously unknown Royal Convention: when a princess has a baby, she takes it to the Castle Naming Room. To, uh, get a name for it.

Because someone confiscated the bat and wiffle ball, they are outside playing tee ball with a small log and a nerf ball.
