We got flocked! A fundraiser for one of JD's ABQ students who is marching Regiment this year. We loved having flamingos in our front yard for a day. She was really sneaky, she and her cohorts put the birds up in the evening, while Sonora & Xavier & I were in the front room watching TV. We never heard a thing. Can you say Oblivious? :)

Some pics of the beautiful blossoms from our "chocolate tree" as the kids call it. We think it might actually be Japanese plum or flowering crabapple?

The best part is his delivery, the way he often growls his enthusiasm for something as mundane as going to Target, having a snack, getting a popsicle. Totally impossible to recreate in print, and hard to catch on audio/video. These kids see a camera and turn into Scorsese. They want to see the action onscreen, but they don't want to perform in front of it.
