Ah, Xavier has learned it! He repeats nearly everything she says verbatim, especially when she is scolding him. Here is an example:
Both kids are laying on the rug, watching Little Mermaid video. Sonora has a pillow and a blanket. Xavier scoots over so he can rest on the pillow and blanket just the way she is doing it.
Sonora: Get off my pillow!
Xavier: Get off my pillow!
Sonora: That's MY blanket!
Xavier: (delightedly) That's MY blanket!
Sonora: Don't DO That!
Xavier: Don't DO That!
Well, you get the picture. :) Amazingly she has not gotten upset that he is copying her... yet. She just keeps on putting her point across.
Also, whenever I tell Xavier No, he just scoots over to Sonora and asks her.
Xavier: Mommy, jel-ly beans?
Me: No, not now.
Xavier: Please? Jel-ly beans?
Me: No, honey, no jelly beans.
Xavier: So-no-wah, jel-ly beans? Please? Please? Jel-ly beans?
Sonora: No, no, Mommy said no jellybeans.
Thank goodness she is backing me up!!! ;-) Also, note that he gives each syllable of Sonora's name equal emphasis: So - No - Wah.
